About

WELCOME! You are included in this space! Sedna’s Daughters is an online global community that provides support and raises awareness about anti-female violence enacted by a daughter’s family. Though our primary focus is on women and girls, anyone who has experienced family aggression is included, listened to, and loved in this community, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

Sedna’s Daughters is a virtual home for women and people of any gender identity who have been shunned by their biological families. Resources for support, that include safety planning for physically violent family members, are provided on this website.

The term “Family Mobbing” was coined by the website’s administrator and designer, author Dr. Stephanie A. Sellers, which she writes extensively about in her book DAUGHTERS HEALING FROM FAMILY MOBBING.

Whatever losses and struggles brought you to this website, know that thousands of women, men, and genderfluid people in this community have endured many of the experiences as you have–You are Not Alone!

Come into our circle….we are here to listen and care for you.
